Pavia di Udine (Friulian: ''Pavie'') is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Udine in the Italian region Friuli-Venezia Giulia, located about northwest of Trieste and about southeast of Udine. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 5,653 and an area of .〔All demographics and other statistics: Italian statistical institute Istat.〕 The municipality of Pavia di Udine contains the ''frazioni'' (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Chiasottis, Cortello, Lauzacco, Lumignacco, Percoto, Persereano, Popereacco, Risano, and Ronchi.
